WHAT IS AN INVERTER?

An inverter is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) power from solar panels into alternating current (AC) power, which is used to power household appliances and electrical devices.

WHAT IS A SOLAR / FULL SYSTEM?

A solar / full system refers to a set of interconnected components, including solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical wiring, designed to capture sunlight and convert it into usable electricity. Solar panels absorb sunlight and convert it into DC electricity. The DC electricity is then sent to the inverter, which converts it into AC electricity suitable for use in homes or businesses. This AC electricity is either used directly or fed into the grid.

WHAT IS A BACKUP POWER SYSTEM?

A backup power system, also known as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), is a device or system that provides electricity during power outages or when the main power source (i.e. Eskom) is unavailable. A backup power system consists of a battery-powered inverter. When there is a power outage, the system automatically detects the loss of power and switches to the backup power source instantaneously, ensuring a continuous supply of electricity to essential appliances or the entire home or business, depending on the system's capacity

CAN SOLAR SYSTEMS WORK DURING CLOUDY DAYS OR AT NIGHT?

Solar systems can still generate electricity during cloudy days, but the amount of electricity produced may be lower compared to sunny days. At night, solar panels do not produce electricity, so the system relies on stored energy, i.e. your battery, or draws power from the grid.

DO PRODUCTS CARRY A WARRANTY?

Yes, our inverters carry a 5 year standard warranty, whilst our lithium-ion batteries carry a 10 year standard warranty

HOW LONG CAN AN ENERGY SOLUTION PROVIDE ELECTRICITY FOR, DURING AN OUTAGE?

The duration of backup power supply depends on the capacity of the system and energy consumption during an outage. Our back-up power solutions can last up to 8 hours, whilst our solar solutions may provide continuous power, dependent on weather. Depending on your needs and property size, we will recommend a suitable power solution, enquire today!
